Had a lovely time at the rye lodge upgrade to the dulux room and it was amazing! The facilities were great (the pool and sauna). Breakfast was beautifuly set up and was really good too! Staff were really friendly and always happy to help and made us feel very welcome. Thank you for a lovely stay can't wait to return in the summer. Jasmine de baeza

A lovely picturesque location, nicely presented elegant room coupled with extremely friendly staff make this hotel well worth a visit. Room was clean, warm and airy, bed was really comfortable which sounds silly but I've stayed at a lot of hotels where the beds have been awful and getting a good nights sleep therefore impossible! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, we booked some time ago and had said we'd take a travel cot for our young son, which we completely forgot about. The duty staff duly located a cot and even came to set it up for us. Breakfast was excellent, great food and served hot straight from the kitchen to order, again by lovely friendly staff. The only minor negatives - the bathroom was a little on the small side in our room, as is the pool, which was also a little on the chilly side. However I wouldn't let that detract from the overall experience of our stay which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Our ground floor room was very warm and comfortable with lots of added extras. Unfortunately whilst asleep on our first night the french windows in our room came open, which we didn't realise until first thing in the morning. As a result the temperature in the room had dropped significantly. I can only assume that these doors weren't locked.

We had a lovely 2 night stay, fab breakfast, plus we brought our dog along and we're all very happy with the welcome we received and the facilities. We enjoyed the pool and sauna as well :)

We really liked our brief stay here. We had a quiet room at the back of the building overlooking the car park. Yes it was a simple, unpretentious room, yes the en-suite shower was 'compact' but everything worked as it should and importantly, the bed was comfortable. It was NOT the hotel's fault, but on our arrival we were told that as there was a power-cut in progress, due to a fault in supply from the energy provider, the hotel indoor pool was, unfortunately, closed. No worry for us however as we weren't planning a swim, hot-tub or sauna. We checked it out the next morning, deciding that if we ever returned we'd bring the 'cossies' and utilise it all - It looked a fun thing to do. Half the town was in darkness when we went out to find some dinner in the town...an eery, slightly sad, dingy experience. But, power did resume later and in the next day's light Rye revealed its full, historic charm. The hotel staff were all delightful and helpful and of course very apologetic for the power cut, albeit it being beyond their control. The breakfast was refreshing - all the produce, fish, eggs sausages etc, sourced locally. My scrambled eggs - cooked just as requested - tasted delicious. As I say, we really enjoyed our brief stay here. Thank you Rye Lodge.
