We had such a wonderful night away for our wedding anniversary. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful and treated us like friends. It felt very relaxed but very professional. Our drinks in the dunes were delicious, breakfast and dinner superb and had wonderful relaxing treatments too. Our room was so lovely and we were very grateful for our upgrade. We will definitely be recommending The Gallivant to everyone. Thanks to you and your wonderful team.

Really lovely and soothing environment. The staff was extremely warm and helpful. I found the seating area to be stunning I’ve never seen anything so detailed it was really artwork! And so many interesting magazines and books. I loved my stay.

We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come again . Staff were delightful, the food was delicious and the rooms charming and clean. The only minor improvement was the service during dinner. No one could help on the wine and given the price of the bottles, it would be helpful to have someone with knowledge!

Our stay at The Gallivant was a real treat as it was not only our 20th Wedding Anniversary but it was also a perk from work as I am one of the senior team at your bedlinen and bedding supplier; Tradelinens. We came with our 2 dogs and stayed in one of the luxury garden rooms and enjoyed the Complete Gallivant experience. From the minute we arrived to the moment we left, all of the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble, particulary for Hamish who was quietly attentive. I am obviously going to be gushing about the bedding but the rest of the room was cosy, incredibly well appointed and had a non-showy luxurious feel about it. The overall ambiance of the hotel had a chilled, Skandi, vintage beach vibe with a lot of greenery and soft accessories. We very much liked how everything was on one level and how relaxed it felt. Dinner was superb with the majority of the ingredients being local or British. After a lovely walk on Camber Sands with the dogs, we had English wine at 5 with a chunk of cake and sat reading magazines. Our only regret is that the weather wasn't nice enough to enjoy the pretty outdoor space. Thank you to The Gallivant for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back. Tracey and Martin Read

I had a wonderful stay at The Gallivant and felt very well looked after. I loved the attention to detail with the English wine at 5 and the turn down tea service in particular. The food was great - I particularly enjoyed the breakfast offerings. One piece of feedback was that the portion sizes at dinner felt quite large, I couldn't finish my main course after the starter and didn't have room for dessert which I would otherwise have definitely tried!
