We had a lovely stay. The weather was awful but we felt very cosy and relaxed, the ambience and environment in the Gallivant was exactly what we wanted for some much needed down time. Food and drinks were great, my other half won’t stop talking about the meal we had one evening, he enjoyed it that much. Would happily go back for another quiet weekend, hopefully the weather will be kinder next time!

Had a lovely stay at the super stylish and yet oh so friendly Gallivant. The huge bath and super Bamford products were gorgeous and the sleepy tea at bedtime and room turn down service was a lovely touch. All the staff were unfailingly helpful and friendly and the hotel has a lovely feel. Freshly baked biscuits in the afternoon and wine at 5pm in front of the fire - perfect

I wanted to tell you how much this wonderful stay at the Gallivant meant to me! It was just exactly what I needed-- a balm on my soul; to take care of myself being surrounded in a such a lovely space with this "private hotel with number of rooms and a restaurant" along with the library and the roaring fireplace....just amazing. The Gallivant crew, of course, made it possible by providing me with everything I needed-- a lovely room with a much needed bathtub which I was so happy to soak in with my books after a long absence from bathtubs--to the great dining room service to answering my number of questions as well as providing me with beach experiences! I can't thank enough to Crystal (taking care of details such as door locks, taxi arrangement, Rye food recommendations), Elton and Paul (great attentive service at dinner!) Louisa for with the wine in the library, Hamish (for his service for the beach ideas) Anna (her cheerfulness at breakfast along with a hug when I left was just appreciated!) and Lindsey and Naketa for their emails (so excited when I was able to get a bathtub room) and they all were so kind and generous-- your actions were not forgotten and it means so much to me. It is because of the AMAZING service they provided that also made it a beautiful and peaceful stay at such a gorgeous hotel-- I loved the design and it was so cozy and welcoming. The library was to die for. I loved the books in the bedroom- such a nice touch. And I was so grateful to have both Nextflix and Amazon Prime so I could catch up watching the shows as I don't have access to them while traveling. It is just a perfect place to hole up with your books, reflecting and just soaking in the environment....what a joy it is to have that! Camber Sands is just so incredible, and I loved taking long walks along the sea and on my last day, I borrowed your blanket and sat in the sand dunes, in the sunlight, reading my book for four hours! What a special place The Gallivant is! A very warm welcome and a synergy of calm and fantastic hospitality from every single member the team. It’s an easy place to fall in love with, great food, lovely comfortable bedrooms and I’ll bag on about it again, the fantastic team. The whole space is beautifully curated, comfortable seating areas, lots of board games, books and beautiful artwork all nestled around a wonderful fire that instantly warmed the heart and every tight knot that a busy life can create. Just a night for us on this occasion, however we very much look forward to returning. Did I mention how fantastic all of the team are?
