A wonderful stay in a truly lovely hotel. All staff were friendly with the perfect level of attentiveness. Nothing was too much trouble and every need was catered for. Specific mention to Anna who’s happy attitude started our day perfectly and Nakete for her help with the booking. Hope to be back soon

We have just returned from a wonderful stay here. The hotel itself is extremely comfortable and well-thought through, from all the little touches (like a bed time herbal sleepy tea and hot flask draped in a bag from a hook by your door in the evening and five o"clock wine time) to the important ones like the bed, linen, cleanliness and decor. There are vintage bathing suits in frames all around the hotel walls and all kinds of unusual paraphernalia, books and games to use dotted about. The food is outstanding and the menu itself very interesting, using locally sourced ingredients. All the staff are knowledgeable and want to help with local information or anything else you might want. I would like to mention some excellent personnel. Corey gave us a great welcome and showed us around initially. Lucy served our food and always gave great advice. Anna was our lovely breakfast waitress - and she is a joy. I was lucky enough to have a superb massage with Aimee, who made me feel very relaxed. I also had expert yoga instruction from India, Juliet and Sally in the well-equipped studio. I even had a one-on-one session with Sally, as the others did not appear, which was a real treat. I know this sounds like I am being paid, but I'm just a normal punter who had a lovely time in The Gallivant.

We had such an amazing stay, from the beginning to the end. Thank you so much. Will definitely be back for more Gallivant! The atmosphere you create in this lovely house is second to none. We felt so at home, at ease, relaxed and all over again :-) Elton, India (love your yoga India!), Lindsay and the waitress who keeps on running into posts ;-) sorry couldn’t find your name on the webpage you made us smile so much!! Matt and I just got home from the best weekend staying at the Gallivant. The team were absolutely fantastic - Lindsey made our visit really special and the reason why we will definitely be back!

Anna - excellent at her job, warm and cheerful, made us feel like family. Louisa - quiet, but very good, observant and quick to learn. Jon - very knowledgeable, enjoyed our wine chats, a star. We had 4 glorious days at The Gallivant, gorgeous room, and all the staff were very focused on customer service. We picked our top three, but Elton, Monty and Elizabeth also deserve a mention. Housekeeping was very good. And finally, Jamie’s Rye Bay brill to share was absolutely delicious. We could go on and on, but you know what you do well, so keep doing it. Thank you, Ian and Lesley x.
