Dr. Morley Katz

Having flown across the pond to visit family in London, we were drawn to experience the English seaside. Told that Rye has a fabulous beach, we searched for a hotel that both we and the family dog would enjoy, and found The Gallivant. It proved to be both dog and human heaven! Our room opened to a beautiful garden, and was just as lovely inside, complete with a dog bed that our Corgi settled into instantly. We felt immediately at home, greeted so warmly by all the staff who made a genuine fuss over our dog. We had wonderful meals in the dining room and terrace, chatting to some of the guests. And spent glorious hours walking the dog-friendly side of Camber Beach, just across the street, both at low tide and high tide. All in all, a wonderful experience filled with memories to savour.

We had a wonderful stay with you. Our room was gorgeous and the attention to detail was exceptional. We had most contact with Moulie (?) who was very helpful and a delight. The food was delicious and breakfast was amazing. The breakfast tray was a clever idea so you didn’t need to keep getting up and down to get what you wanted. You could have provided us with better weather ! Although the thunderstorms were exciting ! Thank you for a memorable break.

Hi Conor My wife and I had a lovely time at your hotel. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful but unfortunately couldn’t mention them by name. There was a really good vibe created by every member of staff in all areas of the hospitality rooms. The breakfast and dinner on both days were superb and the afternoon cakes and cocktails works really well! We also had two great massages and facials along with an excellent private yoga session. The only problem we had, was the weather!!!

We had a fabulous 1st time stay thank you We loved everything! The warm welcome. The room was absolutely gorgeous, loved the decor The food was 10/10, I really liked that we weren’t given a limited menu because we had the special offer, and I just loved the morning yoga class too! We will definitely be returning

My stay at "The Gallivant" was simply wonderful! I really enjoyed my time with you and felt comfortable. The morning yoga classes with India are great fun, especially at the beach, and are absolute enrichment for the day. All the staff, from reception to the chambermaids, were always very friendly and helpful. Everyone radiated good humor and I felt very welcome. The range of beach towels, blankets also. is wonderful. I liked the fact that you can tap your own water all day long. I'm planning my next visit with my husband and I'm already looking forward to the "Drinks at the dunes"! Kind wishes, Johanna Ward
