Great hotel. Lovely staff. Amazing food. So welcoming and helpful.

Thank you for a lovely weekend at the Gallivant. You have created a little oasis with attractive places to relax and so many lovely touches. The staff were all excellent - always friendly and quick to respond to any requests and the food was absolutely delicious. Breakfast, with the tray and then choice of hot food was also lovely. Our room was a little on the snug side for the room rate but was very attractively decorated. Fresh water on tap at the bar was really good and the sundowner on our package was great. It would be nice to have had tea / coffee in our room or a flask of hot water and some sachets available so we could make a drink without coming to ask. We would definitely recommend the Gallivant to friends and family.

We absolutely loved staying at the Gallivant. Stunning rooms and bar/restaurant area. Everyone that was on duty on August 2nd/3rd were amazing, professional and kind. We really felt at home and throughly enjoyed our anniversary ! Thank you for this special stay and we will certainly be coming back, we've already recommended you to friends & family!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Gallivant. The staff were super helpful & welcoming. The room was very comfortable with everything we needed & so nice having a terrace overlooking the delightful garden. Fantastic food, very well thought out menus, couldn’t fault it at all. It was also lucky that we happened to choose the two hottest days of the year so far for our getaway by the sea which made the stay even more special.

May be one of our favourite restaurants along the coast. Staff were so attentive , made sure to pick up on the booking notes about our anniversary. The menu was carefully explained, favourites were suggested which we followed and loved. Foot was outstanding quality and a relaxed yet upmarket feel to the place.

Hi everyone!! Our labrador Elsa, my husband David, and I would like to tell you lovely people what a warm, kind, wonderful, and special time we had at the Gallivant last night! From our arrival, after a fraught drive, we felt warmly welcomed, by Oscar, and all of you! Our room was so very well designed; every detail thought of; giving on to the most beautifully planted garden. We opted to have supper in our room so we could watch the opening of the summer Olympics and every single member of staff made a huge effort to make the evening very special, with so many cuddles for Elsa! Dinner was delicious! Service was warm, prompt, and thoughtful. Breakfast was so pretty in the garden, surrounded by sweet pea wigwams, pots of succulents, more thoughtful and kind staff, plus delicious food! Little details like a big bowl of dog treats by the entrance; designated dog areas, so not every guest had to be subjected to them, and incredible planting of the whole property- appropriate and beautiful!
