We were at your beautiful hotel for a family wedding and overnight stay. We had the best time - such a friendly and charming atmosphere. Your lovely staff - with their smiling faces - couldn’t do enough to make our stay memorable and joyful. The wedding food was delicious with amazing flavours ending with a very tasty breakfast before we left. Thank you so much everyone for making our stay so wonderful. You are unique and definitely worth a visit - can’t wait to return. Xx

Our room was delighful and very clean. The staff were all super friendly and very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Lizzie greeted us warmly on arrival and Muli gave us a guided tour and showed us to our room. He is so friendly and has such a lovely positive vibe. The bar staff and restaurant staff were very courteous and hospitable and nothing was too much trouble. The little touches like the cake at 4pm and the refillable water bottle were warmly welcomed. The final icing on the cake was the kind complimentary picnic coolbag when some of our takeout picnic was apparently missing. We honestly thought what we had been given was already value for money, so when we were advised on our return that the ceasar salad and beetroot dip and rye slices should have been included, we were amazed and delighted to be offered them in the complimentary bag for our onward journey. We very much enjoyed them for dinner at our next destination hotel. We have already started recommending The Gallivant to friends and family and I'm sure we will return again. Thank you. Loved my stay this time around (2nd trip).. Chose to do a solo trip for a little me time post a stressful few months and a family bereavement and I specifically chose the Gallivant as I wanted somewhere that would be welcoming, comfy luxe but not overly formal. Plus your adjacency to the beach and some fresh air. Also wanted to be able to work remotely in a comfortable environment with options on work space, your cabin space was great. Booked a gorgeous luxe garden room which made me feel relaxed the minute I walked in - all the attention to detail you offer was appreciated. The team were great, particularly the lady on reception always making sure I was good, and checking if I needed anything, but the whole team were great. Enjoyed the menus and your wines are delicious. I wasn’t aware you didn’t serve lunch on Tuesdays but the guy on the bar that morning was super helpful and the kitchen bought me some crackers and beetroot hummus (absolutely yummy) and a cappuccino as a solution before I set off home 😊 Your young service team are enthusiastic and friendly and mostly well informed on all the details of your menus. I will definitely be back this year. Thanks for a great few days - just what I needed.
