Hello Elise and Team Another wonderful stay at The Gallivant (now my third). As always, all the staff were wonderful. Special thanks to Georgie, Paige and Naketa and before the stay Agnes - always cheery and helpful with arrangements. Can I also add Kieran to the list - he was delight at breakfast on my previous stay (23-25 March). I didn't know his name until now. Thanks again to you all. I'll be back for sure. We had a great stay - everything about the place works, the atmos is very calming (we chilled out almost instantly), the decor is done so well, the food and drink were great too, and the staff were excellent. The longer I stayed there and took in whats been done, the more I appreciated it (done so tastefully, and I cant think I've been anywhere like it in the UK). This was our second stay at The Gallivant, and we were thrilled to discover that it is still a perfect place for a weekend get-away, or for any other kind of get-away come to that. Our room was stylish, wonderfully comfortable and came with everything we might need, including a good selection of books, a pack of playing cards and a set of dominoes in case we ran out of other things to do (not very likely). The staff were lovely – cheerful, friendly, and helpful (without being intrusive) and the food was delicious, with some interesting combinations, and a strong focus on local produce which is great. Overall, a welcoming and relaxing place to stay – and as you can probably tell, high on our list of favourites!

Gosh, where to start? For 24 wonderful hours we have just escaped from ‘the real word’ and have been cosseted by a fabulous team of people in surroundings that made me feel even more at home than our home!! You’ve created a superb environment; meticulous design with great attention to detail…..almost ‘womb like’! Nico and the kitchen team have produced for us some exceptionally enjoyable meals which really promote the seasonality and local availability of produce. Last nights dinner was possibly THE best and perfectly cooked steak I’ve eaten with a fresh salsa sauce - what a winning combo!! Of course, it is all about the team who created the atmosphere and environment. From the minute we walked through the door (sounds like a song?) Lindsay, Nikita, George, Tim and Hamish could not do enough for us and of course Ralph our dog. Wonderful people who work together to produce a wonderful experience. To the rest of the hotel team (servers, housekeeping, kitchen and grounds) you are also unsung heroes as everywhere was just a joy to behold. I felt quite sad leaving you this morning! We both commented that we felt as though we’d been away a lot longer than just a short 24 hours. We will look forward to our return, as will Ralph! Our only comment that we felt we could suggest for improvement is the provision of USB sockets in the bedroom for phone charging. Although we did bring a plug with us, it would be good to have sockets by the bed for charging. Otherwise, just brilliant! Thank you to everyone - you’re all complete STARS!

We had a fabulous stay at the weekend with you. It was our 2nd visit. As always, all the staff are fantastic however this visit Lindsey was the one that truly stood out for us. Thank you for this retreat beside the sea and we will be back for a 3rd visit 🙏🏼

We had the most fabulous stay at the Gallivant in a Garden Room. The food was exquisitely faultless, drinks spectacular and the staff were perfect - attentive and informed. We couldn’t recommend it highly enough and we can’t wait to visit again!
