May be one of our favourite restaurants along the coast. Staff were so attentive , made sure to pick up on the booking notes about our anniversary. The menu was carefully explained, favourites were suggested which we followed and loved. Foot was outstanding quality and a relaxed yet upmarket feel to the place.

Hi everyone!! Our labrador Elsa, my husband David, and I would like to tell you lovely people what a warm, kind, wonderful, and special time we had at the Gallivant last night! From our arrival, after a fraught drive, we felt warmly welcomed, by Oscar, and all of you! Our room was so very well designed; every detail thought of; giving on to the most beautifully planted garden. We opted to have supper in our room so we could watch the opening of the summer Olympics and every single member of staff made a huge effort to make the evening very special, with so many cuddles for Elsa! Dinner was delicious! Service was warm, prompt, and thoughtful. Breakfast was so pretty in the garden, surrounded by sweet pea wigwams, pots of succulents, more thoughtful and kind staff, plus delicious food! Little details like a big bowl of dog treats by the entrance; designated dog areas, so not every guest had to be subjected to them, and incredible planting of the whole property- appropriate and beautiful! Beautiful hotel with a heart. This hotel truly lives up to their motto ‘Happiness is a place’ all of the staff were welcoming very friendly, efficient and attentive. Beautifully decorated with lots of different areas to sit especially outside in the gardens, food was amazing with a good menu choice, loved the breakfast tray. So many highlights of the stay especially the yoga session with Adam, this topped off the perfect stay, already planning when we can return

We had a delightful (all too short) stay at The Gallivant. Everything was excellent - warm personal welcome, room, evening meal, yoga, breakfast, relaxing in the snug. I can't think of anything you could do differently or better!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Gallivant. On arrival, we were greeted by the receptionist (Jo I think). She was very welcoming and enthusiastic and took pleasure in explaining everything to us. The decor and general presentation of the hotel was superb: tasteful decoration and furnishings all around, culminating in a stunning room (Wight). We felt perfectly at home, with the beautiful surroundings adding to our feeling of 'being spoilt'. All other aspects of the hotel did not disappoint. Staff and service were all 'spot on'. We simply do not know why there are not more hotels like this. Is it that difficult to offer top quality in ambience, furnishings, art work, food - and so much more? Sadly, The Gallivant is the exception to the general rule. Others could take some lessons on 'how to do it'. Thank you. We will be returning.
