Really lovely stay, rooms lovely, food and wine brilliant. Enjoyed the Yoga , maybe could have had a choice of some others classes. Great friendly staff and Paul was very nice and personable.

We had an lovely stay at the Gallivant. The service was excellent and the extra touches (complimentary wine at 5pm, night time tea, cakes and biscuits at 11am) were all very welcome! The food in the restaurant was delicious and we particularly enjoyed the imaginative dishes offered at breakfast. Thank you to all the friendly and helpful staff.

Everything from start to finish was excellent. Room was fabulous and all the staff were extremely kind and helpful. My only thought would be a cooked bacon and eggs breakfast!

We loved the hotel. The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. They were a delight. Room - very nice, ver comfortable. Bar/seating are - lovely, welcoming, and comfortable. Yoga - loved it. Location - amazing. Food - was the only thing we felt could be better. Hard to find something we wanted. The combinations of ingredients were unusual and lacked flavour. We found the food bland and disappointing. We would stay again but not eat there again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay, extremely relaxing, thank you. The lounge, bar, restaurant and the room were utterly gorgeous and very inviting. Food and drink excellent, all staff extremely friendly and helpful. We loved it. Also loved the special little touches like handwritten welcome note, provision of wellies etc. Anna was especially friendly at breakfast and remembered our request for soya milk. To achieve absolute perfection there are a few tiny things I noticed: - room 19 - inside wardrobes could be dusted better. - offer of firmer (memory foam perhaps) pillows would be welcomed - room 19 - drains really gurgled in the shower after flushing the loo and also didn’t smell amazing. - A shame there is not a dual flush to save water. - room 19 the ‘single’ wardrobe light sensor is not fitted correctly so it does not turn off when the door shuts and remains constantly on - bubble bath and/or salts would be very welcomed! - restaurant ladies loos - the wall hung toilets are set far too low / close to the floor so are very very uncomfortable to sit on. - lounge games lovely but both sets of the connect 4 are missing pieces (and the colour difference between the two players is not pronounced enough to play in low lighting!) We had a wonderful time, thank you so much!

Each visit is better than my last one! You always help me feel at home when I’m with you. As a solo visitor that’s so important. Huge thanks to Lucy and Anna for the lovely chats we had. Can’t wait to be back with you again very soon!
