This was our first stay at the Gallivant and it was superb in every sense. The accommodation and food were excellent as expected and all of the staff were outstanding - very personable and all contributed to a relaxed atmosphere. We actually got engaged during the weekend and they went out of their way to make it a memorable experience for us. It would be unfair to single anybody out but we really enjoyed talking to Paul about the various wines being served. We will be back one day!

The hotel is beautifully decorated and feels so cosy. The food and drink were delicious and we really enjoyed our stay!

Extremely friendly team. Compact but very comfortable rooms (we tried two). The beds, linens and products generous and cosy. Plenty of places to unwind and read or play games. Roaring fire and well stocked bar and attentive staff. Dinner and breakfast delicious, locally sourced and interesting combinations of flavours and textures. Will def come back.

We had a lovely stay. The weather was awful but we felt very cosy and relaxed, the ambience and environment in the Gallivant was exactly what we wanted for some much needed down time. Food and drinks were great, my other half won’t stop talking about the meal we had one evening, he enjoyed it that much. Would happily go back for another quiet weekend, hopefully the weather will be kinder next time!
