We had a lovely stay at The Gallivant. The space is beautiful and very welcoming. The staff were excellent and attentive to details. We really enjoyed the experience.

We returned to one of our favourite hotels in the UK for a single night recently. We had been upgraded to a superior room at no extra cost. As always, our stay was excellent from the warm, friendly and helpful staff to the fire-burning cosy environment greeting us on arrival to the exquisitely tasting dinner and impeccable service to the fuel-giving breakfast the following day. And, of course, the location is superb for a long walk along a deserted beach. All in all, a wonderful tonic for the mind, body and soul.

We had a wonderful stay. We stayed in room 17, which was beautifully decorated and so comfortable, All the staff, without exception, were friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome and wanted. The food was a highlight, but honestly every little touch was well thought out and lovely. We will definitely return. This is a very special hotel.

Having had such a fabulous new year at the Gallivant for 2024, we decided to treat ourselves and return this year. One of the things we loved last year was the opportunity to chill, I mean how often do we do this so that is what we wanted again. We got out for a couple of walks but we also spent time curled up on the sofa reading and listening to our music. We liked the way things were slightly different so there was an air of surprise still there and we loved the food, in fact we thought the food was even better than the year before. The lamb we had on New Years Eve was the best I have tasted for a long time. The staff were fabulous and we felt we were 'home' again. Thank you so much.

We, and our dog Huckleberry, had a great time at the Gallivant, made by your excellent staff, rooms, facilities, food & drink and your attention to detail .
