Lovely stay. Great bedroom ( Forties) and enjoyable dinners - innovative menu. We had to change our plans because of the weather. Cory and Nikita came up with things to do and places to eat- Webbes, Fish Shack and Pilot Inn. Kirin was a lovely waitress, but all the staff were charming. On the last day, Fiona gave us some lavender from the garden, a perfect end to our stay.

Thank you so much for looking after my parents, who had the most wonderful stay. They loved the warm hospitality, great food and comfortable room, and the hotel’s close proximity to the beach and surrounding countryside is incredibly convenient.

We had an amazing stay at the Gallivant. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The location is just perfect being right across from the beach which is spectacular. I took my dog who was welcomed with open arms and loved all the beautiful scents in the enclosed garden. Would definitely recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. All staff were very pleasant and helpful, in particular Lyndsay who gave us a lift to the train station after our taxi got a puncture!

Having discovered beautiful Rye some 8 years ago, we have made several holiday visits there, but have always stayed in the town, until we discovered the hidden charms of the Gallivant at the beginning of September this year. As it was at the end of our last visit, we only had the pleasure of enjoying 3 meals and 1 overnight stay with you, which was simply not enough to enjoy the special attention and many delights of the hotel. We were most impressed by the quality of staff and attention to detail but would like to give a special thanks to Lindsay and Paul B who not only made us feel so welcome, but impressed us by their professionalism and customer skills. Nothing was too much trouble and they were both able to make us feel so relaxed from the moment we met them, adding to the enjoyment of our stay. The addition of the electric charging points in the car park were a big plus for us, enabling us to recharge our car overnight for the journey home the following day.
