We had a most wonderful and relaxing 2 night stay with family (and Charlie the Whippet). The staff were first class, the rooms were perfect and the bar and restaurant were very special with great food and drink. Thank you for the welcoming atmosphere and Merry Xmas to all the staff

We had a fabulous stay at the Gallivant. Even though it was absolutely freezing outside it was cosy and warm, the glass of English wine at 5 was a nice touch and the food/staff were lovely. Even though it was only two nights we felt refreshed and rested. Thank you.

We loved our stay at the Gallivant once again. Everyone is always so welcoming. It truly is a most comfortable stay - super comfy bed and linen- which we thoroughly enjoy! A great atmosphere throughout.

Please thank Nikita for all that she did to make us feel welcome last Sunday night and Monday. We finally arrived, late, after being stuck for a couple of hours in the snow up in Seddlescombe, followed by a somewhat hairy journey down to Rye. She greeted us with a warm welcome and a drink and squeezed us in for a last minute dinner, for which we were very grateful. When we were checking out, there was a little confusion about our disappeared breakfast bill, which was then waived with added generosity. We try to get to The Gallivant at least a couple of times a year. It is one of our very favourite places to be. The care and service we receive is always brilliant and this time was no exception. Thank you.

Great cosy space, lovely room, friendly staff. This was our second visit and we are so pleased we came again.

Another perfect stay at the Gallivant! You feel relaxed the second you walk through the door. Always delicious food, the comfiest beds and the most amazing staff ensure that you can not do anything other than sit back and relax Having the most beautiful beach a minute's stroll from the front door is the icing on the cake. Special mentions to Dan who took great care of us during this our 4 th stay, Hamish who was charming, Lindsay who is always fab and of course Paul who is just an absolute legend! His enthusiasm and knowledge is second to none and he has time for everyone. Last but not least the chefs who consistently deliver the most delicious and adventurous food.
